I was born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1978. I graduated from GFU (folkuniveritetet), Stockholm 2004, before furthering my studies at Fotoskolan i Stockholm where I graduated in 2006. My work is often inspired from my childhood and my love for animals.
I am also a curious photographer so I believe that a god way of looking at my pictures are with curious eyes and with a bit of humor.
I create most part of my pictures with an old large format camera. I like to change the perspective in my photos as you would if you look at an object with total focus. When you look at an object with intense eyes something happens with your vision, the focus becomes narrow and everything else is a blur. It is like you are a child again and nothing else matter except the object you are focusing on. It is like magic for me.
I am also very interested in the Japanese poetry form, Haiku. I like the simple, clear and short way of expressing something that sometimes is difficult to explain. I like to think that every picture of mine is a Haiku.
My work has been exhibited in several locations in Stockholm, and is included in private collections.
I currently live and work in Stockholm. |
